평화와 개발협력의 Nexus

Peace and prosperity remains as one of the central concerns for the government and people of the Republic of Korea. This panel will provide both timely and important insights about how best to address this challenge by exploring the problems and hurdles to peace and development cooperation, potential solutions for addressing these problems and hurdles, and role that a donor country can perform to strengthen the nexus between peace and development cooperation.

2015년에 2030 어젠다가 채택된 이후 평화와 개발협력 간 연계 논의는 지속가능개발목표(SDGs)시대에 국제사회의 주요한 이슈로 부각되고 있다. 이에 따라 동 세션에서는 평화와 개발협력 연계에 대한 국제사회의 논의를 바탕으로 개발협력이 역내 평화증진과 어떻게 상호작용을 강화해 갈 수 있는지에 대한 의의를 도출하고자 한다. 특히 평화와 개발 협력 연계에 대한 국제사회의 논의의 현황과 구체적인 이행사례, 공여국과 수원국이 혼재한 동아시아 지역에서 평화와 개발협력이 상호 증진할 수 있는 방안 및 역내 평화와 번영을 위한 여성의 역할 증진 방안 등에 대해 논의하고자 한다.
