[Northeast Asian History Foundation 동북아역사재단] The March 1st movement was an independence movement of Korea that pursued the realization of national right of self-determination, one of the principles for post-war international order, immediately after the First World War. This year is the 100th anniversary of the movement. This session will trace back the changes in perceptions on international order during the last century and look forward to the future of Korea-Japan relations and international order. Participants will evaluate and discuss the following topics. First, we discuss the present implications of the March 1st movement. Second, we evaluate changes in perceptions of international order experienced by the international community over the past century, including imperialism, national self-determination, and post-colonialism. Third, we will trace back Japan's change in perception of the Korean peninsula. 3·1운동은 1차 세계대전 직후, 전후 국제질서의 원칙 들 중 하나인 민족자결주의를 실현하고자 했던 한국 의 독립운동이다. 올해는 그 3·1운동 100주년이 되는 해다. 이 세션에서는 지난 세기 동안의 국제질서에 대 한 인식의 변화를 되짚어 보고 미래를 전망하고자 한 다. 참가자들은 다음의 주제들을 중심으로 평가하고 토론할 것이다. 첫째, 3·1운동의 현재적 의미를 논의 한다. 둘째, 제국주의, 민족자결주의, 탈식민주의 등 지 난 세기 동안 국제사회가 경험한 국제질서에 대한 인 식의 변화를 평가한다. 셋째, 한반도 식민지배에 대한 일본의 인식 변화를 추적한다.
