 심화되는 인도-태평양에서의 지정학적 경쟁과 한-아세안 전략적 협력
Intensifying Geopolitical Competition in the Indo-Pacific and ASEAN-ROK Strategic Cooperation		 Charlotte
Fundamental shifts in the international environment are being further brought about by US-China strategic competition in the Indo-Pacific region after Covid-19 pandemic. ROK and ASEAN are ready to forge a closer strategic partnership in order to navigate through the increasing uncertainty and instability in the regional order. How can ROK-ASEAN move forward on this front? In this session, experts will discuss major shifts in strategic landscape in the Indo-Pacific, regional countries' strategies and responses, and the direction of ASEAN-ROK cooperation on the Indo-Pacific region.

2019년 한-아세안 특별정상회의를 계기로 한-아세안 30년 외교관계가 중요한 이정표를 맞이하였다. 또한 코로나-19 이후 심화되고 있는 인도-태평양에서 미중경쟁 격화와 국제환경의 근본적 변화는 역내 질서에 대한 불확실성과 불안정성을 야기하고 있다. 이러한 역내 상황은 한국과 아세안이 보다 긴밀한 전략적 파트너 관계로 나아갈 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 본 세션에서는 ▲ 인도-태평양에서 미중 경쟁에 대한 역내 국가들의 대응 전략, ▲한-아세안 인도-태평양 협력의 방향성, 그리고 ▲한국과 아세안의 인도-태평양 협력을 위한 구체적 방안 등을 논의하고자 함.
