15:20 ~ 16:50		아시아, 혐오와 차별을 넘어 포용과 공존의 사회로 Asia Towards a Society for Integration and Inclusion: Beyond Hatred and Discrimination	201A
[National Human Rights Commission of Korea/ASEM Global Ageing Center 국가인권위원회/아셈노인인권정책센터] In a sense that Asia is a region of a wide spectrum of cultures, ethnic compositions, and economic and political systems, social integration and inclusion based on understanding various stakeholders is the key priority in Asia’s sustainable peace and prosperity. In this regard, this session aims to focus on hatred and discrimination on the basis of gender, age, race, disability or sexual orientation in order to achieve social integration and inclusion in Asia. Also, the session is designed to highlight the role of the governments and the civil societies as well as cooperation measures to address the issues of hatred and discrimination for social integration and protection of human rights of the social minorities in Asia. 이 세션에서는 아시아의 다양한 사회문화적 스펙트럼 을 기반으로 한 포용과 공존을 위해, 여성·장애인·성 소수자·노인 등 사회적 소수자에 대한 혐오차별 현상 에 주목하고 이를 인권의 관점에서 논의하고자 한다. 특히 혐오표현은 특정집단에 대한 차별과 배제를 정 당화한다는 점에서 시의적절한 대응이 필요하며, 우리 정부 또한 핵심과제로 혐오차별 추방 등을 통한 ‘포용 국가’를 선정한 바 있다. 이러한 관점에서, 아시아의 통합과 평화를 위한 논의 의 장인 제주포럼을 통해 혐오차별 현상을 조명하고 정책적 개선과제와 시민사회의 역할을 짚어 봄과 동 시에, 아시아 및 국제사회의 협력방안을 모색하고자 한다.
