[Jeju Special Self-Governing Province / Jeju Women & Family Research Institute 제주특별자치도/제주여성가족연구원] In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of 3·1 independence movement and commencing inter-Korean exchange, the significance of independence movement, anti-war movement, peace movement and unification movement will be revisited from the perspective of women in this session. It is meaningful that distinguised guests gather here in Jeju, where the biggest female resistant group had fought against the governing of Japan, to discuss about the role of women for peace settlement. The light will be shed on various peace-making efforts led by women in East Asia and it will be discussed how women can contribute to peace building. 이 세션에서는 3·1운동 100주년과 본격적인 남북교류 를 맞이해 여성의 관점에서 독립운동, 반전운동, 평화 운동, 통일운동의 의미를 진단하고 국내 최대 여성항 일운동이 일어났던 제주에서 동아시아 국가들이 참여 해 평화정착을 위한 협력 방안을 논의하고자 한다. 평화구축에 있어 여성들의 힘이 갖는 중요한 의미를 공유하고 동아시아 여성들의 평화활동을 재조명해 이 번 포럼의 대주제인 협력과 통합의 평화가치를 도출 하는데 기여하고자 한다.
