세 번의 남북정상회담과 두 번의 북미회담을 이끈 문재인 정부의 외교적 노력에도 불구하고 최근 북한의 연이은 미사일 발사는 한반도 안보 상황과 지역 정세의 불안감을 고조시키고 있다. 새롭게 출범한 윤석열 정부는 한반도 문제에 대한 새로운 접근법과 외교적 역량을 요구받고 있다. 남북관계와 북미 관계, 비핵화 협상이 모두 교착상태에 빠져있는 상황에서 어떤 원칙을 바탕으로 대북정책을 선보일 것인가? 또한 어떻게 새롭게 남북관계의 비전을 정립하고 국내 및 국제사회의 공감대를 형성할 수 있을까?


Despite the Moon administration’s diplomatic efforts that led three Inter-Korean summits and two D.P.R.K.-U.S. summits, Pyongyang’s recent missile provocations have once again heightened security tensions on the Korean Peninsula and the Northeast Asian region as a whole. The newly inaugurated Yoon government is expected to take a different approach that will bring more concrete results in the denuclearization efforts. In the current situation where Inter-Korean relations, North Korea-U.S. relations, and denuclearization negotiations are all at a deadlock, on what principle should the new North Korea policy be implemented? Also, how can we establish a new vision for Inter-Korean relations and form a consensus in both the domestic and international community?
