[Jeju National University 제주대학교]<BR><BR>A desirable future of the East Asian region requires the establishment of a new order of coexistence and cooperation. And this could be possible by the birth of new citizens with the global citizenship. The notion of global citizenship can promote the recognition of the significance of coexistence and mutual cooperation beyond particular national interests. In this vein, university education has to try to make future generations recognizing the importance of global understanding and responsibility. This session will explore the directions and tasks of citizenship education of university in the age of globalization.<BR><BR>아시아의 바람직한 미래를 위해서는 공존과 협력의 새로운 질서를 창출해야 한다. 그리고 이러한 비전은 글로벌 시민의식을 지닌 새로운 시민이 탄생해야 가능하다. 글로벌 시민의식을 지닌 새로운 시민이 등장할 때 개별 국가의 이해관계를 넘어서는 공존과 상호협력의 가능성이 확대될 수 있다. 이러한 맥락 에서 세계화 시대의 대학 교육은 글로벌 시민의식과 책임감을 지닌 미래 세대를 길러내야 할 의무가 있다. 이번 세션은 새로운 시민의 형성을 위해 대학의 시민교육이 나아가야 할 방향과 과제를 탐색하고 논의하기 위한 자리다.
