FORUM

At the forum, domestic and international participants from 60 sessions dealt with various issues ranging from international cooperation & security, economy & business, culture, gender, community development, and the environment, and had wide discussions on regional and global cooperation and challenges beyond the Asia’s paradox for new Asia. And the Trilateral cooperation Secretariat participated in the forum for the first time, organizing 3 concurrent sessions, and contributed to the Jeju Forum’s goal of peace and prosperity in Korea, Japan, and China.

The trilateral cooperation is crucial for the peace of East Asia. In this context, it has been brought about various cooperative policies, including the establishment of TCS (Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat) in 2008. In order to enhance the trilateral cooperation, we need to have more space for it. In this session, it will be discussed in what ways Korea’s ODA policy is able to play a role for the trilateral cooperation.

동아시아 평화 질서 구축에 있어서 한국, 중국 및 일본 3국의 협력은 매우 중요합니다. 이에 따라 지난 2008년 한중일 협력사무국을 구축하는 등 3자간 협력관계를 강화하기 위한 노력을 지속해 왔습니다. 이 같은 협력관계를 더욱 발전시키기 위해서는 3국간 협력영역을 확대하는 노력이 동반되어야 할 것입니다. 이 같은 맥락에서 본 세션은 한국 ODA 정책의 발전현황을 점검하고, 이를 통한 3국간 협력관계 강화 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련되었습니다.
