[제주평화연구원 Jeju Peace Institute] Most cities in the world face various challenges. Such challenges carry transcendent and multifaceted characteristics in this era of globalization. Therefore, it is neither possible nor desirable for any single city or country to attempt to solve these issues alone. In this regard, it is imperative for global cities to cooperate with each other in order to cope with these challenges. In this session, Governor Won Heeryong and former Prime Minister of New Zealand Helen Clark will seek ways to promote cooperation among cities to overcome the common challenges that they face. 전 세계 도시들은 환경, 사회, 경제적 관점에서 많은 문제를 겪고 있다. 그 문제들은 각 도시들이 서로 얽 혀있어 한 도시의 힘으로만 해결하기는 어려우며, 때 문에 문제 해결을 위한 수단으로 도시 간 협력이 중요 한 화두로 떠오르고 있다. 이 세션에서는 원희룡 제주 특별자치도지사와 UNDP 총재를 지낸 헬렌 클라크 전 뉴질랜드 총리가 도시 간 협력을 통해 회복탄력적 도 시로 나아가기 위한 방안을 공유하고 향후 제주도와 뉴질랜드간의 협력에 대하여 대담한다.
