[UNESCO APCEIU (Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding)]<BR>[유네스코 아시아태평양 국제이해교육원]<BR><BR>As a new vision for a more peaceful and sustainable future, the Target 4.7 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) emphasizes the importance of appreciation of cultural diversity and culture’s contribution to sustainable development and promotion of global citizenship. As a group who has the greatest stake for the future, youth should assume a significant role in achieving this global goal. In this session, the international and youth leaders including those from Jeju will share their insights and experiences on the role of youth and culture for peace and prosperity and suggest ways for a better future. In addition, diverse cultural activities and messages for future by and for youth around the world, including those gathering in Jeju for a workshop on Global Citizenship Education (GCED), will be shared in various manners.<BR><BR>더욱 평화롭고 지속 가능한 미래를 위해 2015년 9 월 유엔 총회에서 합의한 지속가능발전목표(SDGs) 4.7은 문화다양성과 문화의 지속가능 발전에 대한 인식 제고 및 세계시민의식 함양의 중요성을 강조하고 있다. 이 글로벌 목표를 달성하기 위해서는 미래의 주역인 청년들이 중요한 역할을 담당해야 한다. 이 세션에서는 제주의 청년 지도자를 포함한 전 세계 청년들이 모여 평화와 번영을 위한 청년과 문화의 역할에 대해 식견과 경험을 나누고 더 나은 미래를 위한 방안을 제시할 예정이다. 또한 세계시민교육 워크숍을 위해 제주에 모이는 전 세계 청년활동가들을 비롯해 청년이 참여하는 다양한 문화 활동과 그 들의 미래를 위한 메시지들이 다양한 방식으로 공유 될 예정이다.
