제주 4.3, 동아시아 여성과 소수자의 인권 그리고 평화

[Jeju Special Self-Governing Province/Jeju 4.3 Research Institute]<BR>[제주특별자치도/제주4.3연구소]<BR><BR>Resulting that about 10 percent of the population on Jeju Island were killed by security forces, Jeju April 3 incident will have been for 70 years next year. After the movement of democratization in Korean society in 1987, there have been various studies for finding the truth of Jeju April 3 incident. But the discussion and studies of the minorities - woman, children, and old people who were killed during the Jeju April 3 incident - are insufficient. This session will be focused on the problems of minorities of East Asia’s countries who got deep scars by state violence.<BR><BR>해방공간 제주 섬에서 일어난 참혹했던 비극의 역사인 제주4·3은 국가공권력에 의한 학살로 2만5천~3만명의 희생이 있었고, 그 깊은 상처는 지금도 진행형이다. 내년 70주년을 맞는 제주4·3은 그 동안 오랜 진상규명 운동과 함께 다양한 연구가 이뤄져 왔다. 그러나 이러한 담론의 장 속에서도 4·3에 희생된 여성, 아동, 노약자 등 소수자 들의 삶과 인권에 대한 논의는 미흡하다. 4·3을 통해 국가폭력으로 깊은 상처를 입은 소수자 들의 문제를 짚어 보고, 동아시아의 사례를 살펴보면서 그들의 삶과 인권 그리고 평화를 논의한다.
