부동산 경기 침체, 원자재가 상승 등 2008년 리만브라더스 사태 이후 최악의 경제 불황으로 평가되고 있는 현 시점에 명사 강연을 통하여, 제주지역 경제인들이 갖추어야 할 기본 소양과 최신 경제 트렌드 및 지식을 전달하는 것에 1차적인 목적을 두며, 도내 상공업계의 다양한 분야에 진출하고 있는 상공회의소 의원들과 도내 경제 유관기관 관계자들의 네트워크를 형성하고, 도내 주요 경제 현안에 대한 의견 교환을 하는 자리를 마련함.
