[전체세션 3] 우크라이나 사태와 강대국 정치: 국제평화를 위한 유엔의 역할과 다자주의의 미래 [PLENARY SESSION 3] Ukraine Crisis and Politics of the Great Powers: The Role of the United Nations for International Peace and the Future of Multilateralism |

What negative or positive effects will multilateralism have on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine? Does the UN mechanism, which has long been stained with superpower politics, still have relevance for global peace and security? How will the confrontation and conflict between liberalism and non-liberalism, or democracy and authoritarianism, heated up by the U.S-China strategic competition and aggravated by the Ukraine crisis, proceed? Will the ‘emerging security’ issues that the international society faces together, such as climate change, resource security, energy issues, and human rights (including human rights in North Korea) provide these countries with a room (a motivation) to cooperate? In this session, we will discuss the role of the United Nations for international peace and the future of multilateralism. |
