FORUM

At the forum, domestic and international participants from 60 sessions dealt with various issues ranging from international cooperation & security, economy & business, culture, gender, community development, and the environment, and had wide discussions on regional and global cooperation and challenges beyond the Asia’s paradox for new Asia. And the Trilateral cooperation Secretariat participated in the forum for the first time, organizing 3 concurrent sessions, and contributed to the Jeju Forum’s goal of peace and prosperity in Korea, Japan, and China.

The three Asian countries, Korea, China and Japan are close but still far away-countries under the current political strain. Despite the tension, many leaders of those countries are cooperating for their economic development, and most of the future reports project that a lot of economic and cultural synergy effects can be released based on the combination of the potentials of those countries. In this regard, the 9th Jeju Forum invites delegations from China and Japan to boost the cooperation of the three nations, and intends to provide an opportunity for international business participants to build valuable network. Under the theme of “Designing New Asia and Cooperation among Companies of Korea, China, and Japan" it provides a venue where the invited delegations from each nation by aSSIST, KCrea, and Human Development Institute can freely share their opinions following the each representative’s speeches with the help of simultaneous interpreting. Good suggestions and various measures for closer cooperation are expected to be discussed in this session.

아시아 3국은 최근 정치적 긴장감 속에 가깝고도 먼 나라로 존재하고 있습니다. 그러나 수많은 리더들이 아시아 경제협력을 위해 노력하고 있고 3국의 융합은 경제 문화적으로 엄청난 시너지를 낼 것이라는 전문가들의 미래보고서가 많습니다. 9회를 맞는 제주포럼은 중국과 일본의 정기방문단이 참여하여 3국 협력의 가능성을 키워가고 있으며, 포럼에 참여하여 다양한 회의와 국제적인 인사들과의 교류를 통해 아시아시대의 경영리더로서 비즈니스를 돕고자 합니다. 아시아 3국의 경영자 교류회는 '새로운 아시아 설계와 한중일 기업의 협력'이라는 주제로 서울종합과학대학원대학교(aSSIST), 한중지역경제협회, 인간개발연구원 초청 3국 방문단 대표들의 발표와 함께, 3개국 참가자들이 동시통역으로 서로 질의응답을 자유롭게 주고 받을 수 있는 토론의 장으로 개최됩니다. 각국 대표들의 아시아 시대를 위한 좋은 제안 그리고 3국 참가자들의 다양한 협력사항들이 많이 논의 되기를 바랍니다.
