 [전체세션1] 팬데믹 시대, 다자협력의 새로운 구상
How to Reinvent Multilateral Cooperation in the Midst of Pandemic		 Crystal Ballroom
After World War II, countries have contrived to institutionalize multilateral cooperation, which had successfully led to globalization and economic prosperity. However, multilateralism has been gradually declining due to protectionism and unilateralism demonstrated by some countries. Recently, the pandemic has been further undermining the spirit of multilateral cooperation.

The global challenges we face today require collaborative efforts among countries to solve. This is a reason why we need to promote global cooperation and solidarity based on multilateralism.

In this session, world leaders will discuss ways for the international community to reinvent multilateral cooperation in the age of pandemic in order to establish peace and prosperity.

2차대전 이후 국가들은 다자협력을 제도화하고자 노력해왔고, 그 결과 전쟁을 방지하고 세계화를 통하여 경제적 번영을 누릴 수 있었다. 하지만 최근 국제사회에 보호주의와 일방주의가 점차 고조되고 있으며, 팬데믹 대응을 위해 이러한 현상들이 더욱 확산되면서 수십 년 동안 국제사회를 지탱해 온 다자협력의 정신이 위협받고 있다.

그러나 국제사회에는 어느 한 국가의 힘만으로는 해결할 수 없는 많은 문제들이 여전히 존재하고 있다. 코로나19 팬데믹이라는 위기에 직면하여 다자주의에 기반한 협력과 연대의 정신을 다시 살려야 하는 이유가 바로 여기에 있다.

이번 세션에서는 팬데믹 시대를 맞이한 국제사회가 앞으로의 평화와 번영을 위해 만들어 가야 할 새로운 다자협력의 모습에 대해 논의해보고자 한다.
