[Jeju Peace Institute 제주평화연구원] A key question about a resilient peace is how to settle, maintain and keep it, after it has arrived. After the inter- Korean and the North-U.S. summits in 2018-19, full-fledged discussions on the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula ensued. Denuclearization of the North was just one of the preconditions for peace in Northeast Asia. Up until now, however, academia and the political circle have regarded denuclearization itself as the ultimate goal. What kind of peace does the world expect on the Korean peninsula after denuclearization of the North? How can it be maintained and developed? And how can the peace on the Korean peninsula contribute to peace in Northeast Asia and the world? This session will address all these issues and provide audience with valuable opportunity to hear the view of the most renowned experts in this field. 회복 탄력적 평화의 관건은 평화가 도래한 후 이것을 어떻게 유지, 보수하면서 정착시키느냐 하는 것이다. 2018-9년에 걸쳐 열린 남북미 정상회담 이후 한반도 비핵화 논의가 본격화되었다. 비핵화는 남북미를 넘어 동북아시아, 그리고 동아시아가 지향해야 할 평화의 전제 조건이다. 그러나 지금까지 학계, 정계에서는 한 반도 비핵화를 최종적인 목적인 것처럼 바라본 측면 이 있다. 비핵화 이후 세계는 한반도에 어떤 평화를 기 대하는가? 비핵화 이후 지향해야 할 평화의 모습은 어 떤 것인가? 그리고 그것은 어떻게 유지하며 발전시킬 것인가? 한반도의 비핵화를 넘어 동북아시아, 아시아 그리고 세계 평화에 기여할 평화의 조건은 무엇인가? 한반도의 비핵화 논의를 계기로 남북은 물론 미국, 일 본, 러시아, 중국 등 국제사회가 요구하는 동북아의 평 화는 어떤 모습에서 가능한지 토론하도록 한다.
