[Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy(KIMS) 한국해양전략연구소]<BR><BR>The Hague International Tribunal, Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), released its ruling on the Philip-pine-China arbitration on the South China Sea (SCS) in July 12, 2016 and it could be an important turning point on how to deal with regional maritime rule of law in maintaining maritime security order. This session is designed to examine challenges and prospects of maritime security order in East Asia after the SCS arbitration. This session features three presenters to speak on ‘How to integrate China into maritime order in East Asia?: obstacles & prospects’; ‘Future scenarios and approaches to maritime order in East Asia: what has to be done?’; ‘Is multilateral maritime security cooperation possible in East Asia?: a perspective from Southeast Asia.’<BR><BR>2016년 7월 12일 발표된 상설중재재판소(PCA)의 필리핀과 중국간 남중국해 해양영유권 분쟁에 대한 중재판결은 동아시아 지역 내 해양안보 및 해양질서 확립의 중요한 전환점이다. 이 세션에서는 ‘남중국해 해양분쟁에 대한 PCA 판결 이후 동아시아 해양안보 질서와 발전 전망’을 주제로 첫째, 중국을 어떻게 동아시아 해양안보 질서 구도에 포함시킬 수 있으며, 그 방해 요인은 무엇이고 전망은 어떠한가? 둘째, 미래 동아시아 해양 질서를 위한 시나리오와 접근법: 과제는 무엇인가? 셋째, 동아시아 다자간 해양안보 협력은 가능한가?: 동남아시아 시각의 3개 발표주제 에 대한 토론을 중심으로 향후 동아시아 지역 해양 안보 질서 확립을 전망하고 협력 방안을 제시하고자 한다.
