[Jeju Peace Institute 제주평화연구원]<BR><BR>How does the life North Koreans under Kim Jong Un’s regime look like? What is true of North Koreans human rights situation that has been seen in the media? What are behind the scenes? The dialogue between the two Koreas has been ceased since their last high-level talks held in December 11, 2015. The tensions between the two countries remain dangerously high for the indefinite future. By sharing a vision for promoting a unified Korea, this session aims to remind us of the importance of continuing the efforts to prevent human rights violation in North Korea. <BR><BR>김정은 집권 5년, 북한 동포들의 삶은 어떠한가. 신 문이나 방송 등 언론이 밝힌 북한의 모습은 어디까지 사실인가. 한국과 북한은 2015년 12월 11일 개성 공단 종합지원센터에서 개최된 제1차 남북당국회담을 마지막으로 1년 이상 소통이 단절된 상태다. 북핵 제재, 핵 통제 등 정부 간 긴장을 고조시키는 이슈에 앞서, 억압받고 있는 우리 동포들의 실상을 들어보고 인도주의 지원의 관점에서 우리의 역할을 확인하는 일을 통해 통일을 향한 비전을 공유한다.
