FORUM

The 7th Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity reviewed these changes within historic context and highlight the future of Asia. The work of the forum was to pursue peace and common prosperity of the region on the basis of a sense of community. The interdependence and cultural fusion in Asia are surely contribute to the promotion of this sense of community. The issue of common prosperity was addressed and the potentiality of new growth on the basis of Asian entrepreneurship was explored. New growth engines, future of the IT industry, environmental conservation, sustainable management, financial cooperation, official development assistance, welfare expansion, city design, and the role of women are among the forum's topic.

The Chinese economy, with 3 trillion USD foreign currency reserve, continued highlevel economic development of 9-10% annual growth rate, and as the largest exporting country and second-largest economy in the world, has become the primary driving force of the world economy. In the midst of the changing global economic order brought about by the financial crisis in the US and by the governmental financial crises in Europe, we will discuss the tasks and future business strategy as well as prospects of the Chinese economy which is transforming from a production export-oriented economic development policy into a domestic consumption-oriented one.

외환보유고 3조 달러, G2 경제대국으로 급부상, 세계 제1의 수출대국, 9～10% 지속적 고도성장 국가로 급부상한 중국 경제는 세계 경제를 움직이는 중심축이 되고 있습니다. 금융위기의 미국경제, 재정위기의 EU경제 등 세계 경제 질서의 변화 속에서 생산과 수출 중심에서 내수시장 중심의 경제 성장정책으로 전환하는 중국 경제의 전망과 기업전략 차원에서의 과제와 미래를 토론해 봅니다.
