자유로운 항해를 위한 협력 Acting Together for Freedom of Navigation |
삼다홀 Samda |
With recent threats to peace and stability in the Red Sea and the Taiwan Strait, cooperation for the freedom of navigation has become a hot topic in the international community. In the Red Sea, after the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war, Houthi rebels blocked the passage of the Suez Canal, damaging the stability of the global supply chain. Similarly, escalated U.S.-China and Taiwan-China tensions in the Taiwan Strait are persisting, especially following Taiwan’s presidential election in January, exacerbating concerns regarding geopolitical volatility and global supply chain instability. This session will discuss the importance of freedom of navigation and identify areas of cooperation with maritime security experts from South Korea, the U.S., and the United Kingdom. |
