현재 인류는 에너지 고갈과 기후 위기 등의 위협과 더불어 과학기술의 급변에 따른 디지털 사회로의 대전환을 맞고 있다. 디지털 기술은 일상생활뿐만 아니라 자원, 기상, 국가·우주 안보까지 영향을 미치면서 우주산업 시대를 열고 있다. 이러할 때, 과학기술의 수혜에서 누구도 배제되지 않기 위한 사회정책 목표와 수단이 더욱 요구된다. 유엔(UN)은 지속가능발전목표(SDGs)에서 에너지, 혁신 등 모든 영역에서 성별 편향 문제가 발생하지 않도록 성평등 목표를 다른 16개 목표와 연결하고, 이에 대한 국제협력을 촉구하고 있다. 제주특별자치도는 이러한 국제사회의 노력과 협력하면서, 에너지·우주산업 분야 등에서 새로운 가치를 창출하고자 노력하고 있다. 본 세션에서는 더 나은 세상을 위한 공동의 협력을 위하여 디지털 융합, AI, 데이터 과학, 우주산업 등 과학기술 분야의 현안과 전략을 성인지 관점에서 모색하고자 한다.

In the age of digital transformation due to rapid changes in science and technology, social policy goals and means are increasingly required to ensure that no one is excluded from their benefits. The United Nations connects the gender equality goals of the SDGs with all other goals, and is urging international cooperation on this. In this session, we will explore current issues and strategies in the field of science and technology, such as digital convergence, AI, data science, and so on from a gender-sensitive perspective for joint cooperation for a better world.
