인도-태평양 지역은 핵심 글로벌 경제 및 전략 중심지로 빠르게 발전하고 있다. 세계 인구의 65%, 경제의 60% 이상을 차지하고, 해상 교역량이 전 세계의 절반 이상으로 빠르게 성장하고 있는 이 지역은 지속가능한 발전을 위한 거대한 기회를 제시하고 있다. 한편 이 지역은 빈곤, 불평등, 환경문제와 같이 함께 해결해 나가야 할 여러가지 도전에도 직면해 있다.

인도-태평양 지역의 지속가능한 발전은 다양한 분야에 있어 역내 국가들의 긴밀한 협력을 통해서만 실현될 수 있기 때문에 다가올 도전과 기회에 대한 이해를 공유하고, 파트너십을 구축하고, 혁신을 촉진하며, 자원과 전문지식을 미래지향적으로 활용하기 위한 공동의 노력이 필요하다.

The Indo-Pacific region's strategic importance to global security and prosperity is rapidly increasing. With over 65% of the world's population and more than 60% of the global economy, the region's maritime trade volume alone represents over half of the world's total. While the region has immense potential, it also faces several challenges that require collaborative solutions, such as poverty, inequality, and environmental issues.

Sustainable development of the Indo-Pacific can only be achieved through close international cooperation. Therefore, we must identify the challenges and opportunities ahead and discuss how to promote future-oriented partnerships for innovation and sharing of resources and knowledge.
