러시아-우크라이나 전쟁이 장기화 국면으로 접어들고 있는 가운데 우크라이나 사태가 국제 질서 전반에 심대한 변화를 가져올 것을 우려하는 목소리가 높다. 미국, 유럽 등 서방과 러시아·중국의 대립이 격화되고 있으며, 2차 대전 이후 형성된 UN과 국제법을 통한 다자주의 국제체제는 심각한 도전에 직면하고 있다. 이러한 현상은 북한 핵 문제를 비롯한 한반도 정세에 부정적으로 작용할 가능성이 크다.
이 세션에서는 러시아-우크라이나 전쟁 발발 이후 국제 질서의 변화 양상을 살펴보고, 이것이 동북아 지역 및 한반도 정세에 미칠 영향을 논의한다. 나아가 급변하는 국제 질서 속에서 북한 핵 문제에 대한 국제사회의 대응 방안을 모색한다.


The prolonged Russia-Ukraine war has given rise to mounting concern that the Ukraine crisis will profoundly reshape the overarching international order. The multilateral international system built on international law and the UN, formed after World War II, is facing severe challenges. Conflicts are intensifying between the West (i.e., the US and Europe) on the one hand and Russia-China on the other. This trend will likely negatively affect the situation on the Korean Peninsula, including North Korean nuclear issue.
In this session, we will look at the changes in the international order after the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war and discuss the potential impact these changes will bring to Northeast Asia and the Korean Peninsula. We will explore the possible international countermeasures against the North Korean nuclear issue amidst the rapidly changing international order.
