[Ambassadors’ Roundtable] Diplomacy for Sustainable Peace and Inclusive Prosperity		 Crystal Hall A
We are living in an era of multiple crises in which various crises such as pandemic, democracy regression, climate change, conflicts among nations, terrorism and cyber-attacks simultaneously impact on humanity. In order to overcome all those adversities that could put humanity into jeopardy, sustainable peace and inclusive prosperity are more essential than short-sighted and superficial approaches. Also, as the multifaceted crises threat the entire world going beyond national borders, cooperation among nations is desperately and urgently needed in responding to them. Therefore, this roundtable will invite ambassadors from major nations to have in-depth discussions on the collaboration among nations and the role of diplomacy to achieve sustainable peace and inclusive prosperity in the face of the multiple crises.

오늘날 우리는 펜데믹, 민주주의의 퇴보, 기후변화, 국가 간 갈등, 테러, 사이버 공격 등 다양한 위기들이 동시적으로 작용하는 복합위기(multiple crises)의 시대를 살고 있다. 인류의 삶을 위협하고 있는 이러한 위기들을 극복하기 위해서는 단기적이고 표면적인 접근방법을 넘어 지속가능한 평화와 포용적 번영을 이루는 것이 매우 중요하다. 또한 오늘날의 다양한 위기는 국경을 가리지 않는 전 세계적인 위협이기에 국가 간 협력을 통해 대응해 나가는 것이 매우 절실한 상황이다. 본 라운드테이블은 주요국의 주한대사를 초청하여 이러한 복합위기에 맞서 지속가능한 평화와 포용적 번영을 이루기 위한 국가 간 협력 방안과 외교의 역할에 대해 논의하고자 한다.
