Advances in emerging technologies including space technology, hypersonic weapons, and artificial intelligence (AI) are exacerbating tensions between states and are increasing the risks of close military calls, accidents, and misunderstandings.

This panel will focus on providing analyses of current technological developments in the Asia-Pacific and globally in light of the competition between nuclear-armed rivals, and how they pose significant threats to the command-and-control networks responsible for the deployment of nuclear weapons. Experts will elaborate on the biggest risks and provide insight on how to manage the application of new emerging technologies particularly against the backdrop of crumbling arms control agreements and governance.


우주 기술, 극초음속 무기, 그리고 인공지능을 포함한 신흥 기술들이 국가들간의 긴장감을 고조시키고 근접한 군사적 충돌, 사고 그리고 오해들의 위험성을 증가시키 고 있다.

본 세션은 핵보유국간의 경쟁 속에서 아시아 태평양 과 세계의 현재 기술 능력과, 그것들이 핵무기 배치 를 담당하는 지휘통제 네트워크에 어떻게 중대한 위협을 가하는가에 대한 분석을 제공하는데 초점을 맞출 것이다. 전문가들은 가장 큰 위험들에 대해 자세히 설명하고, 특히 군비통제 협정 및 통치 붕괴 의 배경을 교훈 삼아 핵 분야에서 새로운 기술의 적 용을 관리하는 방법에 대한 통찰력을 제공할 것이다.
