U.S.-China Competition and Northeast Asia		 Crystal Hall C
This session deals with issues of cooperation and conflict among countries in Northeast Asia in the context of rivalry between the U.S. and China. The 4 main questions of this session to the panelists are as follows;
- Changing nature of the strategic competition between the U.S. and China
- Issues of cooperation, competition and confrontation between the two countries
- National strategies to cope with changing strategic environment
- Ways to enhance cooperative ties among countries in the region
The panelists of this session are expected to identify issues of competition, cooperation, and confrontation between the U.S. and China. Then they review how the changing nature of the U.S.-China relations affect relations among countries in the region. Furthermore, they are asked to speak about national strategies of each countries to cope with changing strategic milieu in the region.

본 세션은 미-중 간 경쟁 상황에 놓인 동북아시아 국가들 간의 협력과 갈등에 관한 이슈들을 다루어보고자 한다. 본 세션이 던지는 4가지 주요 질문은 다음과 같다.
- 변화하고 있는 미-중 간 전략적 경쟁의 양상
- 미-중 간의 경쟁과 협력, 대립할 수 있는 문제영역들
- 변화하는 전략적 환경에 대응하기 위한 각국 전략들
- 역내 국가들 간의 협력을 증진시킬 수 있는 방안들
본 세션 참가자들은 먼저 미국과 중국 간의 경쟁과 협력 그리고 대립할 수 있는 다양한 문제들을 짚어 보도록 한다. 그런 뒤 미-중 관계에서 나타나는 변화가 역내 국가들 간의 관계에 어떠한 변화를 야기하고 있는지 재고하고자 한다. 이와 더불어, 변화하는 역내 전략적 환경에 대응하기 위한 각 국가의 전략에 대해 토론을 이어갈 것이다.
