FORUM

At the forum, domestic and international participants from 60 sessions dealt with various issues ranging from international cooperation & security, economy & business, culture, gender, community development, and the environment, and had wide discussions on regional and global cooperation and challenges beyond the Asia’s paradox for new Asia. And the Trilateral cooperation Secretariat participated in the forum for the first time, organizing 3 concurrent sessions, and contributed to the Jeju Forum’s goal of peace and prosperity in Korea, Japan, and China.

As it is a session of BPW (Business & Professional Women) Korea, this session will discuss the role of woman leader and exchange views on how we can strengthen women’s competitiveness in a rapidly changing environment of 21st century. Since women’s social participation including their economic activities is one of the essential elements to enforce national competitiveness, the need for women’s leadership is more growing than ever before. As a core social member, women leaders from each country will present their views and discuss the direction to go.

BPW 한국연맹(전문직여성한국연맹)의 세션으로 전문직에 종사하는 여성들의 국제적인 조직인 BPW의 회원들을 중심으로 하여, 21세기 급변하는 새로운 환경 속에서 여성 리더의 역할과 여성의경쟁력 강화에 대한 발표의 장을 마련하고자 합니다. 여성의 경제활동을 비롯한 사회참여는 국가경쟁력강화를 위한 핵심적인 요소 중 하나이며, 이에 따라 여성의 경제활동의 요구가 커지고 있습니다. 사회의 핵심구성원으로서 각국 여성리더들의 의견을 제시하며, 앞으로 나아가야 할 방향에 대해 토의합니다.
