FORUM

At the forum, domestic and international participants from 60 sessions dealt with various issues ranging from international cooperation & security, economy & business, culture, gender, community development, and the environment, and had wide discussions on regional and global cooperation and challenges beyond the Asia’s paradox for new Asia. And the Trilateral cooperation Secretariat participated in the forum for the first time, organizing 3 concurrent sessions, and contributed to the Jeju Forum’s goal of peace and prosperity in Korea, Japan, and China.

January 1st of 2013. In the past five years (2009-2013), Jeju experienced a 20.5% increase in the number of foreign residents (1,520 in total) and in 2013 saw the highest increase in the nation, by 21.6% or 2,250 in total. This session will explore support measures for the development of a plan to assist all foreign residents in achieving a happy and joyful life on Jeju Island.

제주에는 세계 여러 나라에서 오신 12,656명의 “외국인 주민”이 살고 계십니다.(2013. 1. 1. 기준) 지난 5년 동안(‘09-’13) 평균 20.5%(1,520명)의 거주 외국인 수가 증가하였고, 2013년도의 경우 전국에서 가장 높은 외국인 거주 증가율을 보이고 있기도 합니다.(21.6%, 2,250명) 금번 세션 운영은 제주를 찾는 외국인 누구나 아름다운 제주에서 행복한 공동체의 일원으로 살아갈 수 있도록 하는 정책적 지원 방향 등에 대하여 함께 고민하는 시간을 갖고자 합니다.
