FORUM

At the forum, domestic and international participants from 60 sessions dealt with various issues ranging from international cooperation & security, economy & business, culture, gender, community development, and the environment, and had wide discussions on regional and global cooperation and challenges beyond the Asia’s paradox for new Asia. And the Trilateral cooperation Secretariat participated in the forum for the first time, organizing 3 concurrent sessions, and contributed to the Jeju Forum’s goal of peace and prosperity in Korea, Japan, and China.

As Korea has emerged as global middle power, questions on its international responsibility and desirable national interests have surfaced. In what ways can Korea accomplish the two goals harmoniously? Former foreign ministers of Korea will exchange and share their first hand experiences from various diplomatic case with renowned scholars who will exchange the knowledge from their theories and research results to diagnose the current status Korean diplomacy to project its better future.
