FORUM

At the forum, domestic and international participants from 60 sessions dealt with various issues ranging from international cooperation & security, economy & business, culture, gender, community development, and the environment, and had wide discussions on regional and global cooperation and challenges beyond the Asia’s paradox for new Asia. And the Trilateral cooperation Secretariat participated in the forum for the first time, organizing 3 concurrent sessions, and contributed to the Jeju Forum’s goal of peace and prosperity in Korea, Japan, and China.

Korea Environmental Information Center (KEIC) of KEI is a “gap-bridger” between environmental data and policy makers, who often baffle at the abundance of unintelligible information rather than at the lack of it. KEIC’s vision of a policy-oriented environmental knowledge platform with particular focus on the regional low-carbon growth will be discussed in this session, which constitutes the 13th of “Environmental Policy Forum” series by KEI.

2012년 조직된 학계-정부-NGO 통합 KEI “환경정책포럼”의 제13차 토론회로 개최되는 본 세션에서는 환경정보에 기반한 저탄소성장 정책의 개발 및 추진을 위해 설립된 국토환경정보센터의 동북아 환경 정보 허브로서의 비전을 소개합니다. 정부3.0시대를 맞아 공공데이터를 비롯한 빅데이터를 활용한 의사결정이 사회 각 분야로 점차 확산되어 가고 있는 지금, 환경 정보, 특히 공간 환경 정보의 활용에 대한 관심이 높습니다. 이에 부응하기 위해 정보관련 정책 뿐 아니라 이를 활용한 정책 결정 지원 시스템 등을 활발하게 연구하고 있는 한국환경정책·평가연구원과 국토연구원 전문가들의 발표로 공간정보와 정책에 관한 심도 있는 발표와 토론이 이뤄집니다.
