 원산, 금강산, 북강원도 가상 경제 투어: 5개년 개발 계획
Virtual Economic Tour of the Wonsan, Geumgangsan and North Kangwon: A 5-year Development Initiative		 Charlotte
Starting in 2013, Choson Exchange ran workshops in Wonsan, Geumgansan and Kangwon province in the DPR Korea (north Korea). We brought officials from the province to Singapore and Vietnam to learn about land and property development. In late 2019, we visited Wonsan, Kalma and Geumgangsan to restart a long-term economic training initiative there. This area will play a critical role in inter-Korean economic cooperation. Future engagement should explore how to build norms for developmental cooperation between both Koreas and Asia through an inter-Kangwon economy. It should also consider how exchanges in this area can restart economies in a post-COVID19 recovery. Curated by Choson Exchange’s urban planner Calvin Chua, the Choson Exchange team will take you through a virtual tour of the region, its economic potential and discuss what needs to be done to unlock that potential. During this event, we will also unveil a Kangwon (North) Province microsite which we will use to track progress on economic initiatives in the area.

2013년부터 조선익스체인지는 북한의 원산, 금강산, 강원도에서 워크숍을 진행하였다. 또한 (북한) 강원도의 당국자들을 싱가포르와 베트남에 초청하여 부동산과 토지개발에 대해 연수를 진행하기도 했다. 2019년 후반에는 장기 경제연수 프로그램을 다시 시작하기 위해 원산, 갈마, 금강산을 방문하기도 하였다. 이들 지역은 향후 남북한 간 경제 협력에 있어 중요한 역할을 하게 될 것이다. 미래에 북한에 관여하기 위해서는 먼저 남북한 강원도 사이의 경제협력을 통해 남북한과 아시아의 개발협력을 위한 규범을 어떻게 정립해 나갈지 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 또한 이 지역에서의 교류가 코로나 이후 경제회복에 어떻게 기여할 수 있을지도 고려해야 한다. 이번 세션에서는 조선익스체인지의 도시 설계자인 Calvin Chua의 안내로 이들 지역에 대한 가상 투어를 진행하며 이곳이 가진 잠재성을 살펴볼 것이다. 또한 이러한 잠재성을 드러내기 위해 무엇이 필요한지에 대해서도 논의할 것이다. 그리고 세션이 진행되는 동안 북한 강원도 지역 경제 계획의 진척상황을 점검하기 위해 이용될 마이크로사이트를 공개할 예정이다.
