[Overseas Koreans Foundation(OKF) 재외동포재단]<BR><BR>‘Korean Unification’ remains a challenge for the peace of East Asia and the future of all Korean. Korean unification has grown larger than a mere solution to the tragedy of divided Korea, but it has become an international issue greatly related to the security, diplomatic, economic wellbeing of neighboring countries. Living in a time when the economic and social capacity of overseas Korean is continually expanding, we will think about the role of the 7.2 million global Korean communities in 181 countries, and discuss how we can contribute to the unification of the Korean peninsula.<BR><BR> 동아시아의 평화와 한민족의 민족적 발전에는 ‘한반도 통일’이라는 과제가 남아 있다. 현재 한반도 통일 은 한민족의 비극 해결이라는 감정적 문제를 넘어 주변 국가의 안보·외교·경제 문제와 밀접하게 연관 된 국제사회 이슈가 되었다. 재외동포의 경제적·사회적 역량이 확대되고 있는 이 시대에 국제사회의 관 점에서 전 세계 181개국 720만 글로벌 한인공동체의 역할에 대해 생각해 보고 이 공동체들이 한반도 평화통일에 기여할 수 있는 방안이 무엇인지 논의하고자 한다.
