The Forum serves as a platform for world leaders and other high-profile participants to discuss and share visions on various issues in the region. [2-D] New Horizon for Northeast Asian Tourism: Increasing Inbound Flows through Trilateral Cooperation
동아시아 관광시장의 새 지평: 3국 협력을 통한 인바운드 관광객 증가

Multi-destination trips are not rare in some parts of the world. For instance, Europe facilitated cross-border tourism within the region by introducing various directives and creating high-tech transportation systems like Eurostar, attracting foreign visitors not only from within the region but also from non-European countries. Promoting tourism cooperation in Northeast Asia can similarly contribute to the presentation of the region as an attractive destination for foreign visitors. China, Japan and Korea may share the resulting economic benefits generated through cooperative marketing of multi-destination tourism products in East Asia.
This session will convene experts including representatives from government agencies and the academia with purposes to explore means to develop multi-destination travel opportunities in East Asia, and to learn from existing examples of intra-regional cooperation and consequential development of national tourism industries.

세계 일부 지역에서는 다목적지 여행이 드문 일이 아니다. 예를 들어, 유럽에서는 다양한 지침이나 유로스타와 같은 최첨단 교통 시스템을 도입하여 역내 국경간 관광을 촉진시켰다. 이는 역내 관광객뿐만 아니라 비유럽 국가 관광객들 또한 끌어들였다. 동북아시아의 관광 협력 증진은 동북아 지역이 외국 방문객들에게 매력적인 관광지로 다가가는데 기여할 것이다. 한중일 3국은 동북아의 다목적지 관광 상품에 대한 협력 마케팅을 통해 창출된 경제수익을 공유할 수 있을 것이다.
이 세션에서는 3국 정부기관 대표 및 학자들이 모여 동아시아의 다목적지 여행 기회를 증진시킬 수 있는 방안에 대해 논의하고, 역내 지역 협력과 이에 따른 국가 관광산업의 간접 발전과 관련된 기존 사례에서 배울 점을 살펴보고자 한다.
