ROK’s Indo-Pacific Strategy: Korean and International Perspectives		 201A
The Republic of Korea announced its own Indo-Pacific Strategy, “The Strategy for a Free, Prosperous and Peaceful Indo-Pacific Region” in December 2022. The strategy is Seoul’s own comprehensive regional strategy aiming at expanding Korea’s regional role and engagement, thereby contributing to bolstering rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific. In this session, Korean and international experts will share their perspectives and insights, by providing critical assessment of the key elements of the Strategy as well as its implementation outcomes for the last 18 months, and discuss policy implications for the ways forward.

한국은 2022년 12월 “자유, 평화, 번영의 인도태평양 전략”을 발표했다. 한국의 인태전략은 포괄적 지역전략으로 인태지역에서 한국의 지역적 역할과 관여를 확대하고 이 지역에서 규칙기반질서의 유지와 강화에 기여하고자 한다. 이 세션에서는 국내외 전문가들이 한국 인태전략의 핵심내용 분석, 지난 18개월 간 진행된 인태전략의 이행성과 평가 및 향후 발전 방향에 대한 정책 제언 등을 제시할 예정이다.
