제주도가 현재 ‘국제자유도시’에서 글로벌 평화·통상·교류의 거점으로 도약하기 위해 평화경제특구로의 발전을 모색할 필요가 있다. 본 세션은 제주도를 어떻게 평화경제특구로 변모시킬 수 있는지에 대해 논의하고, 더 나아가 세계 각국 및 지역의 특구 사례와 경험을 공유하기 위한 <세계특구포럼> 개최 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 

In order for Jeju Island to become a hub for global peace, trade, and cultural exchange as a free international city, a special peace-economic zone can be the next step. This session discusses how to transform Jeju Island into a special peace-economic zone. By researching cases and experiences of special economic zones around the world, we also plan to discuss the possibility of creating the <World Special Zones Forum> hosted by Jeju Island.
