윤석열 정부는 2022년 12월 한국 최초의 포괄적 지역전략인 인도태평양 전략을 발표하였다. 규칙기반 국제질서에 기여하는 글로벌 중추국가의 역할을 위해서는 인태지역 주요 유사입장국들과의 전략적 소통과 협력이 그 어느 때보다 중요하다. 인태지역 주요국들은 한국의 인태전략을 어떻게 평가하며 인태지역 질서 안정을 위해 한국이 어떤 역할과 기여를 하기를 바라는가? 한국은 인태지역에서 책임 있는 중견국으로서 어떤 선택과 역할을 해야 하는가? 이 세션은 한국의 인태전략에 대한 유사입장국들의 시각을 살펴보고, 인태지역 안정과 번영을 위한 한국의 지역적 역할 방안을 모색하고자 한다.

The Yoon Seok-Yeol government announced ROK’s first-ever comprehensive regional strategy, “the Strategy for a Free, Peaceful and Prosperous Indo-Pacific Region” in December 2022. ROK needs to engage in close strategic communication and cooperation with major like-minded partners in the Indo-Pacific region in order to effectively carry out its Indo-Pacific strategy. How do the major partner countries assess ROK’s Indo-Pacific Strategy? What roles do they expect ROK to play in bolstering the rules-based order in the region? What are the priorities in ROK’s Indo-Pacific cooperation and coordination with like-minded partners? This session will examine and explore the ways in which ROK can best advance its national interests as well as contribute to stability and prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region.
