The rivalry between the United States and China has become a guiding paradigm in international relations, shaping strategic debates and real-world political, military, and economic dynamics. As countries around the world try to understand the evolving nature of US-China relations, it is necessary to step back and assess current developments and their implications.

This panel will address the uncertainty that revolves around some fundamental questions for the Asia-Pacific: What is the trajectory of China-US strategic competition and what are the implications for the Asia-Pacific region? Is this sustainable for the long term? How has the COVID-19 pandemic changed US- China strategic competition? How great is the risk of war between China and the United States? How can China and the United States have a less confrontational and more productive relationship? How will the Biden Administration handle the relationship with China?


미국과 중국의 경쟁은 전략적 논쟁과 현실 세계의 정치, 군사, 경제 역학 모두를 형성하면서 국제 관계 의 선도적인 패러다임이 되었다. 세계 각국이 진전 되는 미중 관계 이해하려고 노력하는 가운데, 한 발 물러서서 현재의 발달양상과 함의점을 평가하는 것은 중요하다.
