FORUM

At the forum, domestic and international participants from 60 sessions dealt with various issues ranging from international cooperation & security, economy & business, culture, gender, community development, and the environment, and had wide discussions on regional and global cooperation and challenges beyond the Asia’s paradox for new Asia. And the Trilateral cooperation Secretariat participated in the forum for the first time, organizing 3 concurrent sessions, and contributed to the Jeju Forum’s goal of peace and prosperity in Korea, Japan, and China.

Now that Jeju has achieved the period of 10 million inbound tourists (2.3 million foreign tourists), domestic and foreign scholars will discuss and share their opinions on the possible future business of Jeju Free International City and detailed strategies to carry it forward. Especially, this session will focus on the strategy of JDC’s future business by taking advises from the experts on finding Jeju’s new growth industry that could be competitive in the future of Jeju Free International City.

제주 입도 관광객 천만 시대, 외국인 관광객 230만명 시대를 맞아, 국제자유도시 제주의 향후 미래성장 산업은 무엇인지, 또 이를 추진하기 위해서는 어떠한 구체적인 전략이 필요할지에 대한 국내외 석학들의 깊이 있는 토론의 장을 마련하고자 합니다. 특히 제주국제자유도시 미래에 적합한 경쟁력 있는 제주형 미래성장동력산업에 대한 국내외 학자들과 지역 내 전문가 등을 통해 JDC 미래 신규사업에 대한 전략을 함께 논의해 보고자 합니다.
