Yoon HEO is Professor of International Trade at Graduate School of International Studies, Sogang University, Korea. Currently, he is the President of Korean Association of Trade and Industry Studies and also serves as Chairman of FTA Policy Forum for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE). He is a policy consultant for Ministry of Foreign Affairs and MOTIE of Korea on trade issues including FTA negotiations. From 2014 to 2016, he was a member of National Economic Advisory Council for the President of Korea. From 2011 to 2013, he was the Director of Institute of International and Area Studies, Sogang University. For spring semester in 2014, he stayed in Washington D.C. as a Fulbright Senior Scholar to the School of Foreign Service and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Georgetown University. He served as Dean of GSIS, Sogang University from 2014 to 2017. Professor Heo is a trade economist trained at George Washington University (Ph.D. in Economics), University of Utah (M.S. in Economics), and Seoul National University (B.A. in Economics).
