Ambassador Kim Woosang, Professor of Political Science at Yonsei University, has served as the President of the Korea Foundation (2012-2013) and the Korean Ambassador to Australia (2008-2011). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in 1988. He has researched and taught international politics as research associate at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, and as a professor in the Department of Political Science, Texas A&M University, Sookmyung University, and Yonsei University. He served as the Director of the Institute of East and West Studies at Yonsei, member of the Steering Committee of the CSCAP, the Guest Columnist of the Dong-A Daily Newspaper, member of Advisory Committees of the National Security Council and the ROK Air Force, and currently serves as member of Advisory Committee of the Ministry of National Defense. He has published many articles in such journals as World Politics, American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Conflict Resolution and books on national security strategies and international relations in East Asia.

현재 연세대 정치외교학과 교수. 한국국제교류재단 이사장 (2012-2013), 주호주대사 (2008-2011), 연세대 동서문제연구원장 역임. 1988년 미국 로체스터 대학 정치학 박사 취득 후 스탠포드 대학 후버연구소 연구원, 텍사스 A&M 대학 정치학과 교수(with Tenure), 숙명여대 정치외교학과 교수 역임. CSCAP-Korea 운영위원, 국가안전보장회의(NSC) 자문위원, 동아일보 객원논설위원, 외교부 자체평가위원, 공군정책자문위원, 한국정치학회 상임이사 등 역임. 현재 국방부 정책자문위원. 대표적 저서 『신한국책략』 외 World Politics, American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Conflict Resolution 등에 논문 다수.
