Hyun-Min Jung, Director General of Regional Innovation Department for The Presidential Committee for Balanced National Development, majored in sociology at Seoul University, received a Master’s Degree from Carleton University in the field of Public Policy & Administration, a PHD from Busan University in the field of Public administration. And he was formerly a visiting fellow at the Michigan State University in the field of Urban & Regional Planning.
After he passed the Public Administration Examination, joined Busan Metropolitan city Government and was in charge of the Centum City Development Project, U-city Policies, Financial Hub Development Policies, has held several positions including Centum city Development Manager, Executive Officer for Planning Division, Director-General for Future Strategy Headquarters, Director-General of Marine Bureau, Director-General for Economy & Industry Headquarters. And he had served as a Director General for Sub-Committee on Decentralization for Presidential Committee on Local Autonomy Development, a Local Administration Policy Director for Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Now he is pushing forward new regional balanced development policies based on decentralization and innovation with his wide experience in this field.

정현민 국장은 서울대학교 사회학과를 졸업하고 Canada Carleton대 행정학석사, 부산대 행정학과 박사과정 수료, 미국 미시간주립대학교 도시계획대학 객원연구원을 역임하였다. 행정고시를 거쳐 부산광역시에서 센텀시티개발담당관, 기획관, 미래전략본부장, 해양국장, 경제산업본부장을 역임하고, 중앙정부 지방자치발전위원회 지방분권국장, 행자부 지방행정정책관을 거쳐 현재 국가균형위 지역혁신국장으로 재직 중이다. 부산광역시 재직시 센텀시티개발, U-city정책, 금융중심지 개발정책을 추진하였다. 지방정부(부산광역시), 중앙정부의 분권국장, 행정국장, 혁신국장의 경험을 바탕으로 우리나라의 분권과 혁신을 바탕으로 한 새로운 지역균형발전정책을 추진하고 있다.
