Dr. RONG Ying is a vice president and senior research Fellow of China Institute of International Studies. He had previously served as Deputy Director for South Asian, Middle Eastern and African Studies, Director for International Exchange, Director for International Strategic Studies, and Director for American Studies at CIIS from 1999 to 2008. He was Vice President of CIIS from 2008 to 2011. From 1993 to 1997, he served at the Chinese Embassy in the United Republic of Tanzania as Third Secretary and as Minister-Councilor at the Chinese Embassy in Japan from 2011 to 2016. Dr. Rong got his Ph.D. from Peking University. He was a visiting scholar at the Bush School for Government and Public Service, Texas A & M University, U.S. from April to October 2000.

롱잉 박사는 현재 중국국제문제연구원의 부원장으로 재직 중이다. 이전에 동 연구원의 남아시아•
중동•아프리카 연구실의 부주임을 맡았고, 국제전략연구부 및 미주연구부의 주임을 역임했다. 또한 주탄자니아 공화국 대사관 및 주일대사관에서 근무한바 있다. 롱 부원장은 북경대학에서 박사학위를 취득하였으며, 텍사스A&M에서 방문학자 생활을 하였다.
