	IUCN Union Development Group 세계자연보전연맹 Global Director 연합개발부 글로벌 국장 Dr. Lahmann was transferred to IUCN Headquarters in 2005 as Senior Coordinator, Global Programme, responsible for the oversight of the IUCN Regional Offices for Mesoamerica, South America, and the former Regional Office for West and Central Asia and North Africa. In addition, Dr. Lahmann oversaw the Marine, Water and Forest Global Thematic Programmes. Prior to joining IUCN Headquarters, Dr Lahmann was the Director of IUCN´s Regional Office for Mesoamerica (ORMA), based in San José, Costa Rica for 12 years. As such, he was responsible for the implementation of IUCN´s programme in the region. He based his strategy on three premises: technical excellence, financial transparency and the full involvement of IUCN Members in Programme implementation. Under his leadership, IUCN membership increased five-fold, the Regional Committee for Mesoamerica was created, as well as National Committees in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. ORMA has been used within IUCN as an example of successful engagement by IUCN constituents in the implementation of the Union´s Programme. Dr Lahmann joined IUCN in 1988 when he was appointed Regional Coordinator of the IUCN Wetlands Programme for Central America, the first regional thematic programme established by IUCN. He held this post for four years until he was appointed Regional Director. During his tenure as Wetlands Coordinator, Dr Lahmann was based in the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE), an IUCN Member located in Turrialba, Costa Rica, where he was also an Associated Professor. Enrique enjoys outdoor activities, particularly cycling (road and mountain) and scuba diving. He was born in San José, Costa Rica on 30 September 1957. 엔리께 라만 박사는 2005년 세계자연보전연맹 본부로 시니어 코디네이터로서 세계자연보전연맹의 지역별(메소아메리카, 남아메리카, 서-중앙 아시아, 북 아프리카 등) 사무소를 관리하는 글로벌 프로그램 업무를 맡아왔다. 또한 닥터 라만은 해양, 물과 숲에 관한 글로벌 프로그램도 관리하고 있다. 세계자연보전연맹에 서 근무하기 전에는 코스타리카 산호세에 위치한 세계자연보전연맹 메소아메리카 지역본부의 본부장을 12년동안 맡아 세계자연보전연맹의 프로그램을 지역에서 운영하였다. 라만박사의 리더십에 힘입어 세계자연보전연맹 회원은 5배나 늘었다. 메소아메리카 지역위원회가 설립되었을뿐만 아니라 멕시코, 과테말라, 혼두라스, 엘살바도르, 니카라구아, 코스타리카, 파나마 등에 국가위원회가 설립되었다. 메소아메리카 지역은 세계자연보전연맹의 연합프로그램 이행에 있어 성공적인 사례 중 하나다. 닥터 라만은 1988년 세계자연보전연맹이 처음으로 설립한 지역 주제별 프로그램인 중앙아메리카 IUCN 습지 프로그램의 지역 코디네이터로 업무를 시작하여 4년간 일하였고 그후 지역국장으로 임명되었다. 습지 프로그램 코디네이터 재임기간 동안 라만박사는 코스타리카 투리알바에 위치한 IUCN회원 중 하나인 CATIE(트로픽컬 농업연구 & 고등교육센터)에서 부교수로도 일을 하였다. 엔리케 라만 박사는 야외활동 특히 자전거 (도로와 산악), 스쿠바 다이빙을 즐긴다. 1957년 9월 30일생 코스타리카 산호세 출신이다.
