THAKUR Ramesh 라메쉬 타쿠르
	Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University 호주국립대학교 크로포드 공공정책대학원 Professor 교수 Professor Ramesh Thakur is Co-Convenor of Asia-Pacific Leadership Network for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament, and Director of the Centre for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (CNND) in the Crawford School, The Australian National University. He was Vice Rector and Senior Vice Rector of the United Nations University (and Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations) from 1998–2007. Educated in India and Canada, he was a Professor of International Relations at the University of Otago in New Zealand and Professor and Head of the Peace Research Centre at the Australian National University, during which time he was also a consultant/adviser to the Australian and New Zealand governments on arms control, disarmament and international security issues. He was a Commissioner and one of the principal authors of The Responsibility to Protect (2001), and Senior Adviser on Reforms and Principal Writer of the United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan’s second reform report (2002). He was a Professor of Political Science at the University of Waterloo (2007–11), Distinguished Fellow of the Centre for International Governance Innovation (2007–10) and Foundation Director of the Balsillie School of International affairs in Waterloo, Ontario. <BR><BR>라메쉬 타쿠르 교수는 아•태 핵비확산군축 리더십 네트워크의 공동대표이자 호주국립대학 크로포드스쿨 핵비확산군축연구소(CNND) 소장이다. 그는 1998년부터 2007년까지 유엔대학교 부총장 및 수석 부총장(겸 유엔 부사무총장)을 역임했다. 인도와 캐나다에서 교육받은 그는 뉴질랜드 오타고대학교에서 국제관계를 가르쳤으며 호주국립대학 교수 겸 평화연구센터 소장을 맡은 바 있다. 또한 동시에 호주와 뉴질랜드 정부에서 군비제한과 군축, 국제안보 문제와 관련해 자문을 맡기도 했다. 그는 The Responsibility to Protect(2001) 위원이자 대표 저자이며, 코피 아난 전 유엔사무총장의 제2차 개혁보고서(2002)의 자문위원이자 대표 저자이다. 그는 워털루대학교 정치학 교수(2007-11), 국제거버넌스혁신센터 선임 연구원(2007-10), 온타리오주 발실리국제관계학교의 재단 소장을 역임했다.
