Dr. Gibung Kwon(57) is Rector and Professor of the Graduate Institute of Peace Studies, Kyung Hee University. He received his Ph. D from the University of Pennsylvania, MA from the Pennsylvania State University, and BA from Yonsei University. His research interests are in theory of interstate relations, global governance, and international justice and ethics. His major English publications include “Theory of War and Just War” (2005), “Politics of Recognition in the State Making and Remaking: A Phenomenological Investigation” (2009), “Hegelian Dialectic of Recognition and its Potential as Alternative Paradigm Theory of International Politics” (2006) and “Phenomenology of Recognition: Hegel’s Original Contribution to the Politics of Recognition in Global Society,” in Political Phenomenology (2016). His recent social interests and activities are in the area of peace, environment and youth education.
<BR><BR>권기붕(57) 경희대학교 평화복지대학원 원장은 연세대학교 정치외교학과를 졸업하고, 펜실바니아주립대학에서 정치학 석사, 펜실바니아대학에서 정치학 박사를 받았다. 국제정치 이론을 전공하였으며, 경희대학의 평화복지대학원에서 조교수로 시작하여 현재 교수 및 원장으로 재임하고 있다. 주로 세계시민사회와 글로벌거버넌스, 현대문명과 정치체제 관련 연구와 강의를 하고 있으며 평화, 환경과 청소년 교육 관련 분야에 관심을 가지고 사회 활동하고 있다.
