DUDDEN Alexis 알렉시스 더든
	University of Connecticut 코네티컷대학교 Professor 교수 Alexis Dudden is professor of history at the University of Connecticut. She publishes regularly about Japan and Northeast Asia, and her books include Troubled Apologies Among Japan, Korea, and the United States (Columbia, 2008) and Japan’s Colonization of Korea (Hawaii, 2005). Her work frequently appears also in The Huffington Post, Dissent, and The New York Times among other venues. Dudden received her BA from Columbia University in 1991 and her PhD in history from the University of Chicago in 1998. She has lived and studied for extended periods of time in Japan and South Korea, with awards from Fulbright, ACLS, NEH, and SSRC and fellowships at Princeton and Harvard and is the recipient of the 2015 Manhae Peace Prize. She is currently completing a book about Japan’s territorial problems and the changing meaning of islands called, The State of Japan: Islands, Empire, Nation, and is an advisory council member of Harvard University’s Reischauer Institute for Japanese Studies’ Research Project on Constitutional Revision. She is currently the Fulbright U.S.-R.O.K. Alliance Visiting Professor at Yonsei University. <BR><BR>Alexis Dudden교수는 코네티컷 대학 역사학 교수다. 동북아시아와 일본에 관하여 여러 책들을 출간했으며, 주요 저서로는 Troubled Apologies Among Japan, Korea, and the United States (Columbia, 2008) and Japan’s Colonization of Korea (Hawaii, 2005) 등이 있다. 그녀의 활동은 The Huffington Post, Dissent, The New York Times 등에 자주 소개되고 있다. 더든 교수는 1991년 콜럼비아 대학에서 학사학위, 1998년 시카코 대학에서 역사학으로 박사학위를 받았다. 그녀는 Fulbright, ACLS, NEH, SSRC의 수상과 하바드대와 프린스턴대의 연구비 지원 등으로 한국과 일본에 상당기간 머물며 공부했으며, 2015년에는 만해평화상을 받았다. 현재 일본의 영토 문제와 변화하는 섬의 의미에 대한 서적 ‘The State of Japan: Islands, Empire, Nation’의 집필을 완성 중에 있다. 하바드대 Reischauer Institute for Japanese Studies’ Research Project on Constitutional Revision 의 자문위원이며, 연세대에서 풀브라이트 U.S.-R.O.K. 얼라이언스 방문 교수로 재직중이다.
