이상봉은 제주 출신으로 오현고등학교, 제주대학교를 졸업하고 제주대학교행정대학원 지방자치 석사 과정을 수료했다. 국회의원 보좌관 시절을 거쳐 제10, 11대 제주특별자치도의회 의원으로 행정자치위원장을 맡아 도민의 목소리에 귀를 기울이며 주민자치 활성화와 건강한 지방자치분권 확립을 위해 헌신했다.

현재 제12대 제주특별자치도의회 본건복지안전위원회 위원이자 제주노동존중사회의원연구포럼의 대표로 도민의 복리 증진과 제주지역내 노동존중사회 실현을 위한 정책발굴 및 제도 개선에 힘쓰고 있다.

Lee Sang-bong graduated from Oh-hyun High School and Jeju National University, and completed a master's degree in local governance from the Graduate School of Public Administration at Jeju National University. He served as an aide in the National Assembly and later became the head of the Autonomy Administration Committee as a council member of the 10th and 11th Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Council. He listened to the voices of the people and devoted himself to promoting resident autonomy and establishing healthy local autonomy.

Currently, as a council member of the Health, Welfare, and Safety Committee of the 12th Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Council and the representative of the Jeju Labor Respect Society Research Forum, Lee is working to promote public welfare and improve policies and systems to realize a society that respects labor in Jeju.
