프란시스코 곤잘레스 주한콜롬비아 대리대사는 1995년 콜롬비아 외교부에서 활동하면서다자, 양자 및 영사 업무에 대한 폭넓고 포괄적인 27년간의 경험을 보유한 헌신적인 외교관입니다. 1995년 콜롬비아 외무부에 입사했습니다.
현재 주한콜롬비아대사관에서 대리대사 겸 정무참사관으로 근무하고 있습니다. 이전에는 보고타에 있는 콜롬비아 외교부 비자 및 이민부서에서 자문관으로 근무하면서 콜롬비아 이민 종합 정책을 준비하는 의회 입법부와의 협의과정에 참여하는 등 이민 문제에 관한 정책 결정에 대한 자문을 제공했습니다.
2018년 6월부터 2019년 8월까지 뉴욕 주재 유엔 콜롬비아 부대표부 대사로 근무했습니다. 또한 2017년 9월부터 2018년 6월까지 워싱턴 D.C. 주재 콜롬비아 대사관에서 정치 참사관으로 근무했습니다.

A Colombian career diplomat with a 27-year-old record of dedicated public service, who holds a wide, comprehensive experience on multilateral, bilateral and consular affairs. He joined the Colombian Foreign Service in 1995.
He currently serves as Minister Plenipotentiary and Chargé d’affaires, a.i. at the Embassy of Colombia in the Republic of Korea.
Formerly, he served as advisor at the Visa and Immigration Group of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia in Bogota, where among other responsibilities he provided advice on policy making on immigration matters, including the participation in the exchange of views with the Congress Legislative Unit preparing the Colombian Comprehensive Policy for Migration.
From June 2018 to August 2019, he served as Ambassador, Deputy Permanent Representative of Colombia to the United Nations in New York.
He also served as Political Counselor at the Embassy of Colombia in Washington, D.C. from September 2017 to June 2018.
During his career, Mr. Gonzalez has also held multiple positions, both in Colombia and abroad. His responsibilities at the Permanent Mission of Colombia to the United Nations in Geneva, where he served as Minister Counselor, included disarmament and immigration matters (2014-2017), as such, he negotiated the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and the Global Compact on Migration. While his tenure at the Permanent Mission of Colombia to the United Nations in New York in the same capacity, he was responsible for the Peace and Security portfolio, including the Security Council and the Fourth Committee (2007-2010).
