윤현수 외교부 기후환경과학외교국장은 1997년 외교부에 입부하였다. 이후 환경, 기후변화 및 국제개발협력 분야에서 근무하였다. 윤 국장은 기후환경외교과장, 기후환경과학외교국 심의관으로 근무하고 기후환경과학외교국장으로 임명되었고, 2022년 서울에서 개최된 제3차 한미 민간우주대화에서 공동 수석대표를 역임하는 등 민간, 상업분야 우주외교를 총괄하고 있다. 윤 국장은 서울대학교에서 학사를, 미 캘리포니아 주립대학교에서 경제학 석사를 취득하였다.

Hyunsoo YUN is Director-General of the Climate Change, Energy, Environmental and Scientific Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Republic of Korea. Since joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997, he has developed his professional career in the areas of environmental protection (MEAs), climate change as well as international development cooperation.
He served as Director of the Climate Change and Environmental Affairs Division and Deputy Director-General for the Climate Change, Energy, Environmental and Scientific Affairs Bureau. Assuming his current position, he has successfully co-chaired the 3rd ROK-US Civil Space Dialogue in November 2022 in Seoul. He received a BA from Seoul National University and a Master’s Degree in Economics from UCSB in USA.
