Singo is Deputy Director at Security Research and Information Centre (SRIC), Kenya, and Lecturer in Political Science at the University of Nairobi. Singo coordinates Peace and Security Programmes at SRIC and heads its Arms Management programme. He served for 7 years until 2014 at the International Conference on the Great Lakes region (ICGLR) in Bujumbura, Burundi where he managed peace and security projects across 12 countries. Singo is a keen campaigner for armed violence reduction and has researched on the proliferation of small arms and its impact on peace and security in Eastern Africa. Professionally trained in peacebuilding and conflict management, he served as Chief of Staff for the Peace process between DRC government and M23 rebels in 2012-2013 in Kampala, Uganda. Singo is involved in international arms control processes and currently serves in the editorial board of the Arms Trade Treaty Monitor.
